Charity Cattle Drove defies drought to support regional youth

Defying drought conditions and the financial crisis, buyers bought up big at the Stock Up for Hope Charity Drove Cattle Sale in Roma on Tuesday 13 October.

The fundraising target for the Charity Drove was exceeded, with over $350,000 raised from the cattle sale and charity auction, all going to support young people in the bush through SU Qld school chaplaincy.

The Need

I think it would be naïve for outback communities to believe that there is no need for someone like my SU Chappy. Stuff happens behind closed doors that most people don’t know about, big and small. Without the help I was given, I know that I would be dead. - Outback Student
